Description
Location. The Killington Grand Resort Hotel is located 200 yards from the ski lifts in Killington, Vt. Despite the lack of a traditional "ski village", there are plenty of shops, restaurants and a few nightclubs located along Killington Road. During warmer months, golfing, hiking and mountain biking are popular. Other summertime excursiona at Killington include car and bike shows, beer, wine, music and art festivals. The area is also popular in the fall, when thousands descend upon New England to witness the amazing color changes of the foliage. Hotel Features. The resort features a year round outdoor pool, two jetted tubs, a fitness center and a game room. The lobby features a wood burning fireplace and spectacular mountain views. A convenience store is located on site, as is a coffee shop/cafÚ. Ovations Restaurant specializes in steak, seafood and pasta dishes, while the Rendezvous Lounge offers cocktails a pub menu. Conference space is available and the 24 hour front desk staff can assist with concierge, laundry, child care and wedding services. Guestrooms. Each of the guest accommodations at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel come with cable television and dial up Internet access. Expert Tip. Pickle Barrel is Killington's largest and loudest nightclub and features national music acts. The cover ranges from a couple of dollars to almost $20. Hotel rooms, suites and studios come with cable TV, VCR, telephone, and coffeemaker. Studios have an efficiency kitchenette and a queen size Murphy bed in the living room. One bedroom suites come with full kitchen, living room, dining room, and some with saunas and a fireplace. The hotel rooms have two queen beds, a nightstand and private bathroom with shower/tub combo. In all rooms guests will find thoughtful amenities such as air conditioning, alarm clock radio, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, and complimentary toiletries. Wireless internet is available in public areas such as the lobby for a small surcharge. Daily towel changes are free, and daily maid service is available at an additional fee. A two night minimum stay is required for arrivals on all Fridays and Saturdays between 6/6/05 10/6/05, 12/9/05 12/17/05, and 11/18/05 11/19/05. Two night minimum stays are also required on 11/23/05, 11/25/05, and 12/24/05. A three night minimum stay is required for arrivals between 10/7/05 10/8/05, and on 11/24/05, 11/26/05, and 12/23/05. A seven night minimum stay is required on 12/25/05.
